Director, Bridges Library System

Connie is currently the co-chair of Wisconsin Library Association’s Library Development & Legislation Committee (LD&L) and the director of the Bridges Library System, a state regional library system that exists to provide services and programs to the 24 public libraries of Waukesha and Jefferson Counties.

Connie has been with the library system since 2013 when she left the Dwight Foster Public Library in Fort Atkinson after many years in various roles including 22 years as the director. During her career, she’s experienced the joy of reaching a multi-million dollar capital campaign goal followed shortly thereafter by the low of a sewer backup in the newly expanded library. Since taking on the position at the Bridges Library System (formerly the Waukesha County Federated Library System), she’s spearheaded significant changes to the organization based on strategic goals and outcome-based planning.

A member of LD&L since 2015, she has had a role in the past two state biennial budget requests including many meetings with legislators in leadership positions and has testified on a number of library-related pieces of legislation.
